NOTARY PUBLIC TRAINING COURSE
Start your own business or add to your current business working full-time or part-time as a notary public. As a public servant commissioned by the Secretary of State, the notary public serves a vital role in protecting the integrity of important documents.
The 6-hour notary training course provides all the training you need to fully function as a Notary Public and meets the requirements for new notaries and notaries who are renewing their commission.
Participants must be 18 years of age, be a california resident. They must also successfully complete this course, the state notary exam and a background check.
IN-PERSON Class Schedule: 8:30am-4:30pm
STATE EXAM: 4:00pm-6:00pm
(includes registration)
LIVE SCAN FINGERPRINTING: Offered for your convenience at in-person classes. OR, you can submit fingerprints outside of the class after you pass the exam)
**Per State law students are required to attend the entire course. Late arriving students will not be permitted in the class and will not receive a refund.
Course Cost: $159
Course Materials: $40
For State Exam, please bring the following:
1. $40 check, money order, or cashier's check made payable to "The Secretary of State." (NO Cash or Temporary Check)
2. Two #2 sharpened lead pencil
3. Two 2x2 passport colored photo of yourself.
4. One of the following Photo Identification:
(must be current or issued within the last 5 years)

A driver’s license or State DMV I.D card

A Canadian or Mexican Driver’s license
-
U.S. Passport issued by a foreign government
-
A. U.S. Military I.D Card
*No other forms of photo identification are allowed.
ONLINE NOTARY PUBLIC COURSE = $179
(includes course book/material which will be shipped within 1-2 weeks before the class starts)

Virtual LIVE through ZOOM
The online class is a live course that offers plenty of opportunity to ask questions and engage with the instructor. It is the same course as the In-Person class, except that it’s online through Zoom. The students need to be on camera the entire class so we can issue the Proof of Completion. Students will then need to take the state notary exam when the state offers it. The state exam schedule will be provided.
State Exam for Online classes: The state test proctors offer a calendar of exam dates and locations. Select time/date convenient for you.

NOTARY COMMISION RENEWAL
Existing notaries who are renewing their commission are invited and encouraged
to attend the full-day Notary Public Training Course in order to best prepare for the notary exam which covers lots of information that notaries typically don't deal with on a day-to-day basis. Because of the amount of course material, we do not offer a separate refresher course for renewing notaries. The full-day course meets the education requirement to renew your commission.
Due to the time it takes to process commissions, we encourage existing notaries to take the class and start the process 6-9 months before their existing commission expires..

ONLINE LOAN SIGNING CLASS

Take your notary career to the next level!
As a Notary Public, you can take your income to the next level as a Certified Loan Signing Agent.
To be a Loan Signing Agent, you must be a commissioned notary public. If you have already taken a notary public training course and are awaiting your commission, you can take this loan signing course now and be ready to go when you get your notary commission. If you did not take our Notary Public class, please provide us a copy of your Notary Public commission after your register or before the class starts.
Loan signing agents facilitate obtaining signatures and notarization for real estate purchases and loan documents. Title companies and lenders rely heavily on loan
signing agents across the nation to facilitate this integral part of the real estate loan closing process.
This course provides the professional training you need to increase your income as a loan
signing agent. After the course, there is an online open book certification exam. Loan signing agents generally make $75 - $150 per loan signing.
Please note that there are some additional costs to become a loan signing agent, including a comprehensive background check, online certification exam, a higher level of required E&O insurance, and a few additional supplies.
